but you can only use them on certain rides. if you ask me it is totally worth it though!
It really depends on what you want to do. Which of the following categories do you find yourself in?
1) I love roller coasters – the whole point of going is to get on as many of them as possible as many times as possible.
Then you need the gold flash pass. On really busy days, you’ll be lucky to ride 4 or 5 coasters without it. With it, you’re pretty much going to be on a coaster every 20 minutes.
2) I want to ride a couple main coasters, but also want to see some of the shows and play some of the midway games.
You could get by with the regular flash pass. Get your ride time, and based on the time you get, you can watch a show, get lunch, ride another less popular ride, or play some games. It’s also possible to use the flash pass on a 3 hour wait ride, then wait in line for a 2 hour wait ride. That way, when you get done with the first one, it’s almost time for the other. It’s like waiting for two rides at the same time.
My brother and my dad are going to Six Flags Magic Mountain on Thursday. They want to know if it’s worth the extra money to buy a flash pass or a gold pass, or just go without the pass all together.
3) There’s maybe one coaster I want to ride, everything else is shows or other rides.
You can get by without the flash pass. Get to the park when it opens, hit the popular ride first, then spend the rest of the day on other rides.
yes flash pass is worth it. but you still need spending money too.
